ETHIOPIA
Ethiopia has now reopened the airport for international arrivals. Land borders are closed but international airports are open.
Passenger Restriction: Arriving passengers must undergo COVID-19 screening and a 7-day quarantine at traveller’s expense.
Passengers will need to bring a negative PCR test taken within 5 days of arrival. They are also required to self-isolate at home for 14 days. Visitors are tested again upon arrival.
Passengers that do not bring the negative PCR test will have a mandatory quarantine at government designated hotels for 7 days at their own expense. At the end of 7 days, a PCR test will be given.
Flight Status: Direct flight from India to Ethiopia on Ethiopian Airlines. Other airlines flying to Ethiopia are Air India, Qatar Airways, Turkish Airlines, Emirates, Malaysia Airlines,, Air China, Oman Air, Kuwait Airways, EL AL Israel Airlines, Lufthansa, Gulf Air, RwandAir, Saudia, Kenya Airways, Asiana Airlines, Singapore Airlines, flydubai and EgyptAir.
TANZANIA
General Restrictions: Tanzania has resumed all international flights. As part of the new measure, all travellers arriving at airports will be required to present a valid negative COVID-19 certificate from an approved laboratory, tested within 72 hours before the arrival. All travellers will also undergo enhanced screening for COVID-19 upon arrival. Cargo Flights are allowed based on respective Bilateral Air Service Agreements (BASAs) between Tanzania and other countries. The Government will continue to authorize flight operations to include overflights, humanitarian aid, medical and relief, diplomatic missions and other safety-related operations.
Passenger Restrictions: All travellers must fill Form available onboard and submit to Port Health Authorities upon arrival. There are no standardized self-quarantine procedures and there will be no 14 day mandatory quarantine on arrival. All international travellers should adhere to hand-washing hygiene, wear masks and keep physical distancing.
Flight Status: There are no airlines flying direct from India to Tanzania. Other airlines flying to Tanzania are Emirates flights to Tanzania, Oman Air flights to Tanzania, Qatar Airways flights to Tanzania.
ANGOLA
General Restrictions: The government has extended the State of Emergency until at least August 9. Exceptions are Medevac, Repatriation, Cargo, Humanitarian, Tech Stops and State flights. The country’s land, sea, and air borders are closed. The movement of essential goods, humanitarian operations, and the repatriation of foreign nationals continues. According to the Ministry of Transport, most international flights are still banned In Angola’s situation of Public Disaster Situation, only humanitarian and special flights will be allowed.
Passenger Restrictions: Passenger entry is restricted from any country other than Angola and they must perform a RT-PCR SARS-cov-2 molecular test, up to 8 days before the date of travel.
Flight Status: There are no airlines flying direct from India to Angola. Other airlines flying to Angola are Emirates, Air France, Brussels Airlines, Lufthansa, KLM, Ethiopian Airlines and Kenya Airways flights.
GHANA
General Restrictions: Authorities continue to implement measures to curb the spread of coronavirus disease (COVID-19). Lockdown measures in Greater Accra and Greater Kumasi were extended since June 15. International passenger flights are restricted from entry until further notice. All flights must obtain government authorization prior to flight. Domestic flights have resumed.
Passenger Restrictions: International flights are suspended. Borders are closed. Any Ghana citizens returning to Ghana will be subjected to mandatory quarantine. No other nationalities will be allowed into country. Cargo Flights, Repatriation Flights, and Emergency Flights pre-approved by Ghanian Authorities to operate at DGAA between 0800 and 1600 daily.
Flight Status: There are no airlines flying direct from India to Ghana. Other airlines flying to Ghana are Emirates, Ethiopian Airlines, RwandAir, British Airways, Turkish Airlines, EgyptAir, KLM, Kenya Airways, Air France and Brussels Airlines flights.
MOZAMBIQUE
General Restrictions: No Foreign Nationals are allowed to enter the country. Approved travellers must self-quarantine for 14 days if they are entering the country from countries affected by COVID-19. Authorities have suspended international passenger flights until further notice. Matters of state, repatriation, humanitarian, and cargo flights are exempt from the ban. Mozambique citizens and residents will be allowed entry, but will be subject to a 14-day quarantine.
Passenger Restrictions: Travellers are subject to an observational trail to check for COVID-19, which includes a mandatory temperature check and a mandatory 14-day quarantine at place of residence during time in country. Once in the country, passengers must wear a mask, practice social distancing and quarantine. A business essential travel permission can be obtained under certain conditions.

Flight Status: There are no airlines flying direct from India to Mozambique. Other airlines flying to Angola are Other airlines flying to Mozambique are Qatar Airways, Kenya Airways, Ethiopian Airlines and Turkish Airlines.
SOUTH AFRICA
General Restrictions: All international flights are prohibited, irrespective of the risk category of their country of origin except those flights authorized by the Ministry of Transportation through August 31st. Authorities reiterated that existing lock down measures will remain in force. All international and regional flights are prohibited (inclusive of Gen and Recreational Aviation). Domestic flights are available for essential and business only and will require permits. Exceptions are those flights authorized by the Ministry of Transport. Medical evacuation flights may not carry passengers other than crew and patients and shall be subject to quarantine laws. Cargo flight will be subject to sanitization requirements. Repatriation of Foreign Nationals to their respective countries are allowed subject to the following conditions: Charter may enter with crew, no passengers allowed; crew may not disembark. Landing permit still required.
Passenger Restrictions: Repatriation of South African Nationals from foreign countries are allowed subject to the following conditions: passengers should have a fully paid return flight ticket; passengers will be quarantined for up to 21 days. A nationwide, 2200-0400 nightly curfew for non-essential travel on public or private transport is in place likely until 15 Aug 2020.
Flight Status: There are no airlines flying direct from India to South Africa. Other airlines flying to South Africa are Emirates, Cathay Pacific, RwandAir, Qatar Airways, Jet Airways, Alitalia, Singapore Airlines, Turkish Airlines, Air Seychelles, Etihad Airways, Virgin Atlantic, Air China, British Airways s, Kenya Airways, EL AL Israel Airlines, Lufthansa, Saudia, EgyptAir, Ethiopian Airlines, Air Mauritius , Air Austral, Air France, SWISS, KLM and United.
KENYA
General Restrictions: Following the suspension of all scheduled and non-scheduled passenger flights in and out of Nairobi FIR due to COVID-19 pandemic, the Government of the Republic of Kenya has given the following directives in resumption of international flights on 1st August, 2020.
Travelers from the following countries will be exempt from quarantine:
Canada, South Korea, Namibia, Uganda, China, Rwanda, Morocco, Zimbabwe, Ethiopia, Switzerland, United States (except for California, Florida, and Texas), United Kingdom, France, Netherlands, Qatar, UAE, Italy, Germany
The air operators shall be responsible for ensuring proper screening, medical briefing and reporting any cases to the relevant authorities.
Kenya Airports Authority, Kenya Civil Aviation Authority and the Ministry of Transport, Infrastructure, Housing, Urban Development and Public Works is reviewing frequency and timing of flights to facilitate physical distancing at the Airports.
The nationwide curfew between 2100 and 0500 has been extended through the early August.
Passenger Restrictions: All arriving passengers on international flights whose body temperature is NOT above 37.5° C (99.5°F); do not have a persistent cough, difficulty in breathing or other flu-like symptoms; have negative PCR based COVID – 19 test carried out within 96 hours before travel and are from countries considered low to medium risk COVID – 19 transmission areas shall be exempt from quarantine. Passengers from countries that are not exempted from quarantine upon arrival shall quarantine at government designated facility at own cost. For those passengers traveling out of the country, they will be required to abide by the particular travel, health and COVID-19 related requirements of the destination country; Passengers arriving on flights after the curfew, with a valid Air Ticket and Boarding Pass shall be allowed to proceed to their hotels and/or residences. Passengers departing on flights after the curfew, with a valid Air Ticket and Boarding Pass shall be allowed to proceed to their departure airport Kenyan immigration is advising that all passengers requiring Visa to enter Kenya need to apply for the same on line. Visa application on arrival into Kenya will also be done on-line. Cash payments for Visas on arrival Will NOT be allowed. Visa Cards will however be accepted.
Flight Status: Direct flight from India to Kenya on Kenya Airways. Other airlines flying to Kenya are Jet Airways, KLM flights, China Southern, Emirates, British Airways, SWISS, Qatar Airways, Air France, RwandAir, Etihad Airways, Lufthansa, Air Mauritius, Ethiopian Airlines, Saudia, EgyptAir, Oman Air and Turkish Airlines.
UGANDA
Air transportation of human remains into Uganda is suspended.
General Restrictions: Foreign Nationals who require evacuation from Uganda to their home countries may be flown out provided they are cleared by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Ministry of Health, and Ministry of Works and Transport, and the evacuating flight has no disembarking passengers. Air transportation of human remains into Uganda is suspended.
Travelers from high-risk countries will face a 14-day mandatory quarantine at their own expense in a local health facility even if they exhibit no symptoms of COVID-19. All airports, as well as land and maritime ports of entry are closed until further notice.
For repatriation of Ugandans stranded abroad due to the COVID-19 epidemic, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs shall be contacted for arrangements in coordination with the Ministry of Health and the Ministry of Works and Transportation.
Flight Status: There are no airlines flying direct from India to Uganda. Other airlines flying to Uganda are Emirates, KLM, RwandAir, Qatar Airways, flydubai, EgyptAir, Ethiopian Airlines, Turkish Airlines , Kenya Airways flights and Brussels Airlines.
RWANDA
General restrictions: Authorities in Rwanda have announced plans to resume commercial flights from August 1 amid easing of restrictions related to coronavirus disease (COVID-19). All travelers, including those in transit, must provide proof of having been tested negative for COVID-19 in the 72 hours before arrival in Rwanda.
Passenger Restrictions: All travelers arriving in Rwanda must be: Tested negative for Covid-19 within 72 hours of departure before their first flight in journey to Rwanda. Travelers must complete a passenger locator form and update the COVID-19 test certificate. Be screened upon entry and be given a second test to confirm negative results of previous test. Complete 24 hours in designated transit hotel while awaiting results of second test. The rates are specially coordinated through the government and inclusive of three meals including water or soft drinks.
Flight Status: Direct flight from India to Rwanda- RwandAir flights. Other airlines flying to Rwanda are Qatar Airways, Ethiopian Airlines, Turkish Airlines, KLM, Kenya Airways and Brussels Airlines.
NIGERIA
General Restrictions: Authorities in Nigeria have extended the suspension of international passenger flights to Oct. 15 as part of the nation’s efforts to slow the spread of coronavirus disease (COVID-19). The measure does not apply to emergency and cargo flights. Authorities, however, eased restrictions on domestic flights beginning July 8. Airports in Abuja and Lagos reopened July 8. Other airports that met the government’s health and safety requirements began operating from July 15. No Foreign Nationals are allowed to enter the country. As of June 22, the closure of Nigerian airports to all international flights will continue until further notice. Country allowing humanitarian, medical, relief, repatriation, and cargo flights. All flights must obtain approval in advance for flights from Nigeria Federal Ministry of Aviation.
Passenger Restrictions: Pax must Quarantine for 14-days at a Government Mandated Facility or Hotel. Must wear mask, practice social distancing, shelter-in-place, self-isolate, or quarantine.
Flight Status: There are no airlines flying direct from India to Nigeria. Other airlines flying to Nigeria are Emirates, Ethiopian Airlines, Kenya Airways flights, Etihad Airways, Air France, Egypt Air, Lufthansa , KLM, RwandAir and Qatar Airways, Virgin Atlantic, British Airways and Turkish Airlines.
MALAWI
Malawi is currently closed for travellers until further notice. Flights are only available for the repatriation of Malawi nationals and essential workers.
Flight Status: There are no airlines flying direct from India to Malawi. Other airlines flying to Angola are Ethiopian Airlines and Kenya Airways.
SENEGAL
General Restrictions: Authorities in Senegal have lifted the ongoing state of emergency and the associated 2300-0500 curfew. International flights can also resume from July 15; however, land and sea borders remain closed indefinitely. Airspace is now re-opened and only COVID-19 negative test is required upon entrance.
Flight Status: There are no airlines flying direct from India to Senegal. Other airlines flying to Senegal are Emirates, Ethiopian Airlines, Kenya Airways, Air France, Turkish Airlines and Brussels Airlines.
